Beside the numerous tasks a Managing Director needs to attend to, I am in charge of the conception, execution and analysis of quantitative research at MR&S. Depending on the objectives of the study, I make sure data collection goes smoothly and reliably, either as a telephone and/or online sample. I consult on choice of methodology and approaches to data reporting and processing to provide significant results – both in-house and on the client’s side.
In addition to administrative tasks and project work, I am devoted to association work and responsible for the important field of data protection and the implementation of the market research guidelines for the execution of market research studies in Germany set by national and international market research associations.
I joined the company in October 2003 as an associate and, since March 2006, have been Managing Director and Partner at MR&S GmbH. After graduating in Social Sciences, I worked as a free-lancer for a consulting agency, specialized in management consulting for municipal administration from 1990 to 1992. Subsequently, I worked as a scientific employee to Media-Micro-Census GmbH (MMC) from 1992 to 2003.
With this largest and most important media survey in Germany I learned my quantitative armamentarium first on supervising the survey for magazine and newspaper coverage, before I switched to the survey for radio coverage in 2000, where I acquired fundamental knowledge on representative CATI sampling and sample realization.
Being born in Wuppertal, I feel strongly bonded to industrial culture. I love travelling through Germany to visit monuments of coal, iron and steel industry like inoperative mining and milling sites as well as metallurgical plants. Very inspiring in this regard is Modern Art that picked on the subject of early industrialization in numerous exhibits by many artists, always from new perspectives. Beside arts I am interested in motor bikes, historical mechanical engineering, architecture, photography and history!
